Memree, A more memorable way to shop Memree

Introduction

Memree is a niche fragrance house, extrait de parfum made in small batches for people who take scent seriously. The brand was already loved, but the way you shopped it had room to grow. We redesigned the core experience around a single idea, memorable and effortless.

The brief

Memree did not arrive with a problem so much as an instinct. The fragrances were excellent, the following was real, and the reviews spoke for themselves. What nagged was the shop. It worked, but it did not yet feel like an experience that matched the brand. A house this considered deserved a shopping experience that carried the same care, from the first tap to the moment a bottle lands. So the question was simple. How do you make buying a scent feel as good as wearing one.

The idea

Memorable and effortless.

The name did the strategy for us. Memree. A shop should be memorable to move through and effortless to buy from, and every decision after that answered to those two words.

The journey, simplified

With the idea set, the journey had one job, to get out of its own way. We took the path from landing to checkout back to its essentials and rebuilt it around how people actually shop for fragrance. A visitor arrives and, within a few seconds, understands the house and where to start. Nothing competes for attention. Each step leads cleanly to the next, so choosing a scent feels like a short, pleasant decision rather than a search. The care that goes into a Memree bottle now shows before you have added a thing to the basket.

The scent, made memorable

Effortless gets a shopper to the checkout. Memorable is what brings them back. So we gave each fragrance room to be felt, not just listed. The product pages lead with the character of the scent, the notes as they open and settle, paced to be read the way a perfume is worn, slowly. Imagery and rhythm do the rest, so a fragrance page feels less like a listing and more like an introduction. By the time a shopper reaches the price, they are not comparing products. They are choosing the one they want to remember.

Built to convert

Selling fragrance online has a particular problem. You cannot smell it. Memree had already answered this with a discovery model, sample first and commit later, and our job was to make that model impossible to miss. We designed a set of new sections, built for Shopify, that carry a shopper toward the right decision. The discovery set steps forward instead of hiding in a menu. The try-before-you-buy promise sits exactly where doubt usually creeps in. Reassurance, delivery and returns surface at the moment they answer a real question, not a page later. The path now removes friction in the places people used to quietly fall away.

A system, not a set of pages

We designed the redesign as components, not one-off screens. Each new section is a reusable block the Memree team can place, reorder and reuse as the range grows, without breaking the look or the logic. The system keeps the experience consistent across every product and every campaign, and it means the shop can keep improving long after we hand it over. Good structure is what lets a small team move quickly and still feel considered.

The outcome

Memree now shops the way it smells, memorable and effortless. The journey is shorter, the decisions are clearer, and the parts of the experience that sell, the discovery model, the reassurance, the delivery promise, finally sit in plain sight. It is early, and the numbers will tell their own story in time. What we can say is that the shop matches the fragrance now, and a good buying experience starts exactly there.
