Most packaging blends in. Ours does the opposite. A strong system works across your full range without falling apart.

The shelf is your harshest critic

Packaging doesn't get a considered audience. It gets a half-second glance from someone walking past with a basket. Most designs lose because they were judged on a screen, blown up at full size, in perfect light, when reality is a crowded shelf and a small, badly lit pack. We design for that moment: legibility at distance, a clear hierarchy of what matters, and a shape and colour block that's recognisable before a single word is read. Then we proof it the way a shopper sees it, at actual size, among real competitors. Pretty on a moodboard means nothing. The only question that counts is whether your pack gets picked up off the shelf.

Print and production decide the result

Packaging lives or dies in production, and the gap between the design file and the finished pack is where most projects fall apart. We design with the substrate, the print process, and the dieline in mind from the start, not as an afterthought when the printer says no. Spot colours, foils, varnishes, embossing, and the realities of corrugate or flexible film all change what's possible and what it costs. We work with your printer and supply correct, production-ready artwork with proper bleed, dielines, and specs. The result is a pack that looks on the shelf the way it looked when you approved it, instead of a muddy, shifted version that nobody signed off on.

A range, not a one-off

One beautiful pack is easy. A range that holds together across twelve SKUs, three formats, and a roadmap of future flavours is the real job. We build packaging systems: a master layout, clear rules for variants, and a colour and naming logic that lets your team add the next product without breaking the family. That consistency is what makes a brand block read as one on the shelf and what keeps your range from looking like a committee assembled it. We also plan for the boring, decisive stuff, regulatory text, barcodes, multi-language panels for export markets, so nothing gets bolted on at the last minute and wrecks the layout.

Frequently asked questions

  • It scales with the number of SKUs and formats. A single pack costs less than a full range with a master system and variant rules. We quote on the actual count of products and the print complexity, foils and special finishes add cost. You'll get a fixed price before we start, including production artwork, not just the concept.

  • A single pack concept through to print-ready artwork runs around four to six weeks. A full range takes longer, usually eight to twelve, because the system has to work across every SKU. Print proofing and supplier lead times sit on top of that, so we plan backwards from your shelf date.

  • We supply correct, production-ready artwork, dielines, bleed, colour specs, and we work directly with your printer to get it right on press. We're not a print broker, so you keep your supplier relationships and pricing. If you don't have a printer, we'll point you to ones we trust rather than mark up someone else's work.

  • Yes. If you already have a brand identity, we design packaging that extends it onto the shelf rather than reinventing it. If the brand itself is the weak link, we'll say so. Often the packaging brief surfaces gaps in the wider identity, and we'll flag what needs fixing before it costs you a reprint.
